What matters most when renting?

Share

  • Running costs and broadband present the biggest gap between tenants and landlords in terms of what they view as important when a property is marketed to rent.
  • 87% of tenants consider running costs, and 79% broadband speed, important in marketing literature, this falls to just 67% and 57% of landlords respectively.
  • Affordability is the number one priority for renters in the wake of COVID-19, while a rise in home working and blended working patterns place more emphasis on broadband speed.
  • Agents should ensure they have the relevant information available for landlords on costs, internet speeds and providers operating in their area in order to offer the best service possible.
