Senior Lettings Negotiator (Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead)

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our lettings department. Working alongside the Lettings Manager, you will assist in managing a portfolio of properties, negotiating tenancies, and ensuring the smooth running of all lettings activities. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the growth and success of our agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tenant and Landlord Liaison: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both tenants and landlords, addressing their queries and concerns promptly.
- Lettings Administration: Handling all paperwork, tenancy agreements, renewals, and associated documentation.
- Compliance & Legislation: Ensuring all lettings activities comply with current legislation and industry standards.
- Sales and Business Development: Identifying opportunities to grow the lettings portfolio and generate new business.

General Administration & Reporting: Supporting the team with administrative tasks and reporting on lettings performance.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 12 months’ experience in lettings or property management, ideally within a lettings agency.
- Strong understanding of lettings processes, tenant legislation, and property management best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to handle challenging situations and resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lettings agency software platforms is desirable.
- A valid driving license and own vehicle are essential.
- A relevant qualification in property management is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Tenant and Landlord Liaison: Building and maintaining strong relationships with both tenants and landlords, providing advice and updates on tenancy matters and addressing their queries and concerns promptly.
- Lettings Administration: Managing the application and referencing process for prospective tenants. Coordinate the preparation and signing of tenancy agreements and other legal documentation, ensuring all paperwork & tenancy records are kept up-to-date.
- Financial Management: Monitor rental payments and arrears, liaising with tenants and landlords to resolve any issues.
- Compliance & Legislation: Ensuring all lettings activities comply with current legislation and industry standards.
- Sales & Business Development: Identify new lettings opportunities and promote the agency’s services to potential clients. Support & develop marketing initiatives to increase the agency’s market presence.

General Administration & Reporting: Preparation of regular reports on lettings performance, property availability and market trends.
